Penang Char Kway Teow
Penang Char Kway Teow is a popular staple, particularly in Malaysian Chinese cuisine, but used by other groups as well. Noodles provide an alternative source of carbohydrate to a serving of rice that accompanies every meal. Stir-fried noodle dishes are ubiquitous throughout Malaysia's cities, towns and villages, with numerous localized variants prepared by various ethnic communities according to their culinary traditions and preferences.
Hainan Chicken
Hainanese chicken rice is a dish adapted from early Chinese immigrants originally from Hainan province in southern China. It is considered one of the national dishes of Singapore. Hainanese chicken rice is most commonly associated with Singaporean and Malaysian cuisines, although it is also popular in Thailand. It is based on a well-known Hainanese dish called Wenchang chicken, due to its adoption by the Hainanese overseas Chinese population in the Nanyang area (present-day Southeast Asia).
